Happy Valentine's Day!

In honor of this special day, my hubby and I have each made a list of some things that we love about our little valentine. Here are the top fifteen from both of us, in no particular order…





To Embree. How do we love thee? Let me count the ways:

1. Mommy says: Your contagious smile - it's a given. Daddy says: The way you smile and light up a room.


2. Mommy says: Your bear crawl. It is VERY impressive how fast you can go! Daddy says: I love that no matter how bad a day I can have, that when I hold you in my arms all the world is right.




3. Mommy says: When you play DJ in your crib. It puts a smile on my face every time I hear you (over the monitor) repeatedly pushing buttons on your music box, happily creating your own little Vivaldi/Bach remix. Daddy says: Listening to you have very important conversations in your crib!

4. Mommy says: Your poop face. It really is the cutest thing, people!! Daddy says: I love seeing how your mother glows with you in her arms!



5. Mommy says: The diaper-drop dance. Love it. Daddy says: When you fall asleep in my arms.




6. Mommy says: Your stubborn demeanor that I know will terrorize us later. Daddy says: When you try (and successfully) make me laugh.




7. Mommy says: Your giggle. Wow! It rocks our world☺ Daddy says: Making you laugh so hard you can hardly breath.


8. Mommy says: When you growl at people at the local Walmart. It’s too funny. Daddy says: Listening to you say a word for the very first time.


9. Mommy says: When you “hide” under the dining room table. No, honey - we don’t see you;) And we certainly can’t hear you giggling under there! Daddy says: Watching your personality blossom more and more each day.


10. Mommy says: Your sweet baby kisses (baby kisses are open mouth kisses that can test your comfort zone if the child is not your own). Daddy says: When you just decide I need a very big hug.


11. Mommy says: When you “help” us do the laundry and unpack the drawers. You are incredibly busy! Daddy says: See how proud you are of yourself when you know you did something good.


12. Mommy says: When you bump your arm, then rub your head cause Mommy and Daddy tell you to “Rub it out”. Daddy says: Watching your little mind work as you try and figure things out.



13. Mommy says: Your amazing eyelashes. Seriously… AMAZING! Daddy says: I love seeing the wonder in your eyes with all the world has to offer.


14. Mommy says: When your cheeks rest on your chin. You have the sweetest face! Daddy says: Seeing your face as I walk in the house.


15. Mommy says: The way you love your dogs. Daddy says: How you get so much joy from your dogs.
