Sneaky Spiders

I have to share something that happened yesterday as it proves my daughter is incredibly articulate! So, yesterday, while I was eating some walnuts, Em looked at the back of one and asked me if it was a spider. Interesting... walnut backs DO look like spiders! I had never looked at it through the eyes of a two year old, so of course I did not realize that! Next, we began conversing about spiders...

Emme: "Is that a spider"
Me: "No, it's a walnut!"
Emme: "Oh... I don't like spiders."
Me: "You don't?"
Emme: "No. They're too sneaky."
Me: "That's incredible!! They ARE too sneaky! And that's exactly why I'm not a fan of them, either! Huh... Thats crazy!"

I know this seems like a simple, unimpressive conversation about walnuts and spiders, but in all my life I couldn't have used one word to perfectly describe what is/was so creepy about spiders... until now. They are too dang sneaky! Thank you, two year old daughter! You just might learn your mama a thing or two!
