Embree is officially one! I have to say that to myself a lot, and I keep hoping that soon it will actually sink in. We finally had the party last weekend, and it was nice and simple:) I did get a cake, and I'm a little embarrassed to admit that it had a tiara on it. I really couldn't help it!! She's just a little princess!
Lori got Em a special outfit to wear (3 reasons she did this for me - #1: She actually lives near the big city where true stores exists. #2: She has a boy and never gets to buy tutus or hot pink anything. #3: She is a great friend). I LOVED the outfit!! So fun! Now if I could only get Em to keep her hair bands on and not pop them on her head... Oh well.
J got his baby girl a "Bounce House". We had it going the day before the party and let Em test it. She is a HUGE fan!! The kiddos played in the bounce house while the adults hung out.
The weather was perfect, and Lori & Dustin brought my little Landon over again (more of that fun story to come)! Embree had a wonderful time and was so happy to see some of her favorite people!
The only upsets that day were the cake (didn't go well. Apparently, Em doesn't like cake and ice cream), and when I took her away from her dog, Maverick, so that she could get back to the party.
Otherwise, Em's first birthday (of which she will have no recollection) was a hit!
Oh. My. Gosh. How can she not like cake?! :)
